Guarantee : increase of the
hallmarking threshold
In
order to reach a balance between the commitment to the guarantee
and the delay of the products restitution, the guarantee departments
have answered favorably to the request of the majority of
professionals concerning the increase of the threshold of
the guarantee hallmark.
So,
since the 22nd of November 2001, the hallmark threshold has
gone :
- from 8 gr to 30 gr for the pieces of work in silver
- from 1 gr to 3 gr for the pieces of work in gold
Guarantee
: specific tax
The
specific tax is due on all the pieces of work made in precious
metal, hallmarked or not by the Guarantee.
From January 1st, 2002 the amount of specific tax collected
in hectogram will be :
